III-New lesson(35’): Teacher & students’ activities Contents * Warm up Word square - Stick the poster on the board - Ask ss to find out 13 nouns of things in the house - Get ss to work in pair to find out the words - Divide the class in to two teams, students from each teams go to the board and circle the words they have found then write them down in the column of their team - The team that has more words will win the game shower, living room, kitchen, dish washes lamp, sink, desk, stove, armchair bookself, dryer, couch bench Step 1: Presentation 1. Vocabulary: ( picture ) ( translation ) ( traslation ) ( antonym of wonderful ) ( antonym of good ) ( explain ) - Sts listen. - Listen and repeat (chorally then individually) - Copy * Checking voc: Rub out and remember. 2. Presentation Dialogue - Ask ss to read the dialougue A1 P 29-30 to find out the exclamation sentences * Concept check + Meaning: How do you undrestand these sentences? + Form : - Are they questions or exclamation ones? ( exclamation sentences ) - Can you find the nouns in the two sentences? (day, bathroom) - what stand infront of the noun? (adjectives) - Are the nouns singular or plural? (singular countable nouns) - If the nouns are plural or uncountable, can we use a or an? ( No ) + Use: To pay a compliment or to make a complaint. + Pronunciation : Step 2: Practice Word cue drill - Prepare cards with cues on them. - SS run through the cues - T models - T - WC - H - H => open pairs => closed pairs Step 3: Further Practice Noughts and crosses - Divide the class in to two teams - Draw a nine square grid on the board - The team will take turn to choose the number and give compliments or complaints using the words in the square.
