1. The simple Present tense: (Hieän taïi ñôn)
Form: S + V1/Vs,es + O
Be (am/is/are)
Advs: never, usually, always, sometimes, often, every. . .
Ex: She goes to school everyday.
2. The present Progressive tense: (Hieän taïi tieáp dieãn)
Form: S + Be + V-ing + O
Advs: now, at the moment, at present , look!, listen!
Ex: I am studying English now.
3. The simple Future tense: (Töông lai ñôn)
Form: S + will + V1 + O

EPART 3: SUGGESTIONS (Caâu ñeà nghò/ môøi goïi) Form 1: Would you like to + V1 + O ? (+) OK_ I’d love to_ That would be great fun . . . (-) I’m sorry, I can’t_ Thank you, but I’m sorry. . . Form 2: * Let’s + V1 + O * What about + V-ing +O ? * Why don’t you + V1 + O ? * Should you + V1 + O ? (+) OK_ Yes, Let’s (-) I’m sorry, I can’t EPART 4: COMPARISON OF ADJECTIVES: (So saùnh tính töø) 1. Comparative (so saùnh baäc hôn): a) Short Adj: S + Be + Adj-ER + than + O ( tính töø ngaén laø tính töø 1 vaàn, hoaëc 1 soá tính töø 2 vaàn taän cuøng baèng -y/-er /-le/-ow) Ex: Ba is taller than Lan. b) Long Adj: S + Be + more + Adj + than + O (tính töø daøi laø tính töø coù töø hai, ba vaàn trôû leân) Ex: She is more beautiful than Hoa. 2. Superlative (so saùnh baäc nhaát): a) Short Adj: S + Be + the Adj-est Ex: He is the tallest in my class. b) Long Adj: S + Be + the most + Adj. Ex: She is the most beautiful in her family. Notes: 1) Tính töø taän cuøng baèng 1 nguyeân aâm giöõa 2 phuï aâm: gaáp ñoâi phuï aâm cuoái tröôùc khi theâm-er/-est. Tính töø taän cuøng baèng –y: boû y thay baèng –i tröôùc khi theâm - er/-est Ex: big bigger/ biggest happy happier/ happiest 2) Caùc tính töø baát qui taéc: Adjectives Comparative Superlative good better the best bad worse the worst little less the least many/much more the most far farther the farthest EPART 5: COMPARISON OF NOUNS: (So saùnh danh töø) 1) So saùnh baäc hôn: +duøng cho danh töø ñeám ñöôïc vaø caû danh töø khoâng ñeám ñöôïc. Form: S + V + more + N (s) + than + N Ex: - He works more hours a day than you. - American students have more days off than Vietnamese students. - Hoa always does more homework than Lan. 2) So saùnh baäc keùm: a./ Danh töø ñeám ñöôïc: Form: S + V + fewer + Ns + than + N Ex: - He has fewer brothers and sisters than you. - Do they have fewer holidays than you? b./ Danh töø khoâng ñeám ñöôïc: Form: S + V + less + N + than + N Ex: - He drinks less tea than your father. - Farmers earn less money than workers. EPART 6: MAÃU CAÂU DIEÃN ÑAÏT THÔØI GIAN CAÀN ÑEÅ LAØM ÑIEÀU GÌ 1) Dieãn ñaït thôøi gian caàn ñeå laøm ñieàu gì: Form: S + takes + (N) + period of time (khoaûng thôøi gian) + to + V1 + N V-inf Ex: - It takes twenty minutes to walk to school. (Maát hai möôi phuùt ñeå ñi boä ñeán tröôøng) - It takes my mother half an hour to make lunch. (Meï toâi maát nöûa giôø ñeå laøm böõa aên tröa). 2) Maãu caâu hoûi: How long + does it take + N + V-inf + O ? Ex: How long does it take you to go to school ?
