- Have Ss listen to the tape and look at the books then check the answers
- Have Ss read the dialogue in pairs - Call on some pairs to practice the dialogue in front of the class
- Correct their pronunciation
- Ask Ss to work in pairs asking and answering the questions 
* Task 3
- Call on some pairs to ask and answer the questions in front of the class .
- Correct the mistakes and give the correct answers 
- Ask Ss to copy down

- Give some cues and ask Ss to practice in pairs

+ Look at 1 : Lan wasn’t there. She was absent . What do you think Mr. Tan tell Lan to do? What was wrong with her ? ( look at 2 ) 
- He tells Lan to stay inside at recess.
- She had a headache .
 * Textbook on page 110
*Answer.
a. Lan didn’t go to school yesterday because she had a bad cold .
b. She had a headache .
c. Mr. Tan tells Lan to stay inside at recess .
d. The doctor said that Lan had a virus .
e. The doctor wrote Lan’s sick note 
+ Make the dailogue
