 Lesson 1 : A1- 3: Cách hỏi đường đến một nơi nào đó.

I. Aims: Develop Ss’ speaking about asking and giving directions.
II. Requests: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to develop their speaking skill by asking and giving directions.

1. Put the verbs in the correct form.

III. New lesson.
1. Introduction: Today, you’ll learn the way to ask and give directions.
2. Presentation
a. Vocabulary:
- T elicits the new words.
- Modal- have Ss repeat chorally and read individually.
+ a souvenir shop: cửa hàng lưu niệm
+ Go straight ahead: đi thẳng (situation) 
+ Take the first street: rẽ ở con phố đầu tiên
+ Turn left: rẽ trái (situation)
+ Turn right: rẽ phải (antonym)
+ National bank: ngân hàng nhà nước
* Check vocab: Matching (A1- P 79)
- Have Ss match the nouns of places to the pictures.
- Model the first one.
Ex: a. National Bank of Vietnam.
b. Presentstion text 
- Have Ss read the text and give the model sentences.
- Have Ss repeat chorally and in pairs.
 S1: Could you tell/ show me how to get/ the way to the souvenir shop?
S2: Go straight ahead. Take the first street.
 Go straight to the first street. Turn right. 
* Form:
S1: Could you tell/ show me how to get/ the way to + place?
 S2: Go straight ahead/ Turn right/ Turn left . 
 3. Practice: Picture cue Drill.
- Run through the pictures.
- Model the first one. 
- Have Ss work in pairs to practise the pictures.
- Call some pairs of Ss to practise
- Correct Ss’ mistakes.
 a. S1: Could you tell me how to get the bank?
S2: Go straight ahead. Take the first street on the left. Turn right. 
 4. Further Practice: Listen and write
- Have Ss look at the map again, listen to the tape and write the places mentioned.
- Get feedback and correct.
