- Call students to write the new words on the board.
- Ask ss to talk about their activities at the recess.

- Ask students to look at the pictures and answer the questions:
? What are the children ? What are they doing?
? Do you like these games?
=>Set the sence: To day we are going to learn about the students's activities at the recess.

* Checking vocabulary: Matching
- Ask students to rea the text (silent reading). Then write down all the recess activities in the text.
* Answer key:
Talking, eating, drinking, chatting, playing marbles, playing catch, playing blind man's bluff, skipping rope.
* Model sentences:
- Ask students to retell the Present progressive tense:

- Ask students to make sentences with this tense.
Eg: She is watching TV.
- Ask students to look at 6 pictures on page 56 and practice asking and answering .
Eg: What is the boy doing? -> He is running.

b. What is the girl doing? -> She is drinking.
c. What are the boy doing? -> They are playing mabbles.
d. What is she doing? 
-> She is playing blind man's bluff.
e. What is he doing? -> He is playing catch.
f. What are the students doing? -> They are reading.
- Ask students to ask and answer with their partner about themselves. ( students's answer.)
2. Listen. Match each name to an activity:
- Set the sence: " Mai, Kien, Lan and Ba are at the recess at school. Look at B2 and guess What are they doing?"

- Ask students to retell the content of the listening with out book.
- Retell the names of activities at recess.
* Set the task:
- Old lesson: Learn by heart the new words.
 Translate the text in to Viet namese.
 Make 5 sentences with the present 
 progressive tense.
- New lesson: Read the text at B3 and find out the 
 activities at recess which American
 students do.
