I. Objectives
By the end of the period, students can describe sporting activities.

 1.Warm up 
T: ask the questions.
Ss: answer the questions.
2. Presentation
Ss: listen to the tape part A.1 once.
Ss: repeat the text once.
Ss: pick up some new words from the text.
T: help the students understand some new words and explain them on the board.
Ss: repeat the new words after the teacher. (choral and individuals)
Ss: listen to the tape twice more and repeat.
Ss: read the text in silence to get information.
Ss: some read the text loudly.
 3. Practice
Ss: work in pair, ask and answer the questions.
Feedback: some pairs practice loudly.
Ss: work in group, ask question to take a survey.
Ss: give the ten most popular sports in the class.
 4. Comprehension check
Ss: write ten most popular sports on the board and read loudly.
