1. The aims: by the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to ask for and give directions.
2. Objectives :
a. Language focus: Further practice with “Where” question and position of places.
b. Skills: listening and speaking.
B. Preparation:
1. Teacher’s: lesson plan, workbooks, cassette, CD.
2. Students: textbooks, workbooks and other tools.
C. Procedures:
I. Organization (1’) : Greeting + checking member.

Practice - writes the cues on board and asks Ss to ask for and give directions: - runs through the cues - models the cue - do the same to the second one - has Ss do the left - goes round to monitor and help Shoes store/ go ahead Toy store / go ahead, turn left. Museum / go straight / first street / right. Bus stop / turn left. Example: Could you show me how to get to the shoe store? Go straight ahead A1(a,b,c,d p.47. workbook) - asks Ss to work in pairs, complete the dialogue and then practice. 4. Listen and write to ask the way we can use Where is the ? It is near/ between/ opposite/ . - asks Ss to look at the map on p.81, then work in pairs, ask and answer about some places Example: Listen to the tape and write the places: Souvenir ;shoe store;hotel;drug store;hospital - reads and asks Ss to listen and write 7’ 8’ 10’ 5’ -listen and response. - listen and repeat in chorus and individually. - answer the teacher’s questions - copy down - listen and answer - ask for and give directions in pairs - some pairs present the Qs and As again - work in pairs, complete the dialogue and then practice - work in pairs, ask and answer about some places Consolidation (2’) Retell main points.
