I. OBJECTIVES: 
Teaching aim: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to talk and write about activities in free time, listen about other people’s activities.
PREPARATIONS: Book, pictures, cassette tape
III. PROCEDURES:

1. Warm - up: (5’)
- Ask students to play game “Guessing game”
 - swim
 - go joging
 - play volleyball 
 - do aerobics
 - skip
2. Pre - Reading: (8’)
- Give pictures, ask students to look at the pictures and name the activities in each picture.
- Introduce the new words: 
1. Free time (n)
2. to go fishing (v)
3. to go to the movies (v)
4. to play video game (v)
- Introduce the two chracters Lan and Nam, ask students to predict which sports Lan and Nam do.
- Review present simple tense.
3. While - Reading: (15’)
- Ask students to read the text about Lan and Nam.
- Ask students to read then answer the questions below.
- Check whether their answer are right or wrong. 
 a) Phuong goes to the movies in his 
 b) Ly watches TV.
 c) Nam reads in his free time.
 d) Lan listens to music.
 e) Tuan goes fishing.
 f) Long plays video games 
4. Post - Reading: (12’)
- Ask students to work in groups. Each student writes three things about they do in their free time.
- Let each group read “ Group writng” aloud. 
Example: 
+ Lan writes: I watch TV, go fishing
+ Nga writes: I watch TV,go to the park
+ Group writing: Lan, Nga watch TV. Lan goes fishing. Nga goes to the park and play badminton
5. Homework: (5’)
- Ask students to learn by heart sports vocabulary 
- Prepare Unit 12: B4 – 5/ p. 128
Play game.

- Look at the picture.
- Listen and write.
- Listen to the teacher. 
- Review.
- Read the text.
- Read the text again and answer the questions below.
