Procedure: What the Teacher and Students do Content Warm up Sts talk about the picture page 10. ( Sts guess). Presentation Elicit responses and greetings from Sts. Questions - Do you have any new friends this school year? - What do you say to your friends when you first meet after the summer holiday? - Are you happy to be back again? Sts listen to the tape. T explains vocabulary. Practice pronunciation. Check vocabulary. Practice 1.Sts practice the dialogue in pairs and a group of three. T have Sts answer the questions after reading the dialogues again. They work in pairs to ask and answer. T gives the feedback. 2. Sts read the passage the answer the questions. ( pairwork). T gives the feedback. Production Have Sts make up similar dialogues. Where is Hoa from? Does she have a lot of friends in Hanoi? How is her new school different from her old school? Warm up: Sing a song Pre-listening 1.What are they doing? 2.Who are they in this picture? 3.Where are they? 4.What are they doing? -Explain the task and let pupils listen to the dialogue. While-listening 3. Sts listen then practice with a partner.(pairwork). 4. Sts listen then complete these dialogues. T gives the feedback. 5.
