Objective
Knowledge: - Ss practice asking and answering about the time with the present progressive tense.

Procedure
Settlement: (1’)
 II. Check up: (5’)- Write the names of the subjects
	 - Do exercise 1
 ( English, Physics, Physical Education, Music, Geography, Math)
 III. New lesson: - Lesson 2(A4,5)
Teacher’s Activities

PRESENTATION: (10’)
- Teacher asks Ss to look at the picture A4- P.43 and name the activities and the subjects in the picture. Then asks them to read the model about Lan chorally
- Teacher notes:
+ The present progressive tense in (a) is used to mention an action happening at the time of speaking.
+ The simple present tense in (b) is used to mention an action happens at a specific period of time.
 II- PRACTICE (14’)
- Teacher introduces: There are two people in the dialogue. They are Thu and Hoa. They are talking about Thu’s schedule. Can you guess what question words do the you in the dialogue.
- Teacher plays the tape the first time and asks Ss to listen
- Teacher plays the tape the second time and asks Ss to repeat. Then asks them to practice the dialogue in pairs.
 III- PRODUCTION (7’)
- Teacher asks Ss to work in groups of 4 and retell the dialogue in two topics:
+ Topic 1: Thu’s subjects, date and time she studies those subjects.
+ Topic 2: Thu and Hoa’s favorite subjects and their ideas about these subjects.
Practice: (10)
- Ss look at the picture and name the activities and the subjects. Then they read:
a. What is Lan studying?
-> Lan is studying Physics.
b. What time does Lan have her Physics class?
-> She has her Physics class at 8.40
- Ss take notes.
- Ss continue practicing.
Ex:
S1: What is Binh doing?
S2: Binh is studying Geography.
S1: What time does Binh have Geography class?
S2: He has his Geography class at 8.40.
... etc.
Listen and Read: (15)
- Ss listen to the teacher and guess:
+ What
+ When
+ What time
+ Which
- Ss listen to the tape and practice.
Group- work (9’)
+G1: Thu has English class on Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesday it starts at 8.40 and on Thursday it starts at 9.40. On Thursday she has other classes. They are Math, Geography, Physical Education and Music.
+ G2: Thu’s favorite subject is History. She thinks it is an interesting and important subject. Hoa likes History, too but her favorite subject is Math. She thinks it’s difficult but fun.
Consolidation: (6’) - Write your weekly schedule
 V. Homework:(2’) - Make a similar dialogue as A5 about you and your friend
	 - Do exercise 2
