Procedures: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm – up. - Call students to read the previous lesson. - Answer the questions. Pre – reading. - Have students look at the picture. - Ask questions 1. Where is it? 2. Who are the children? 3. Who is the lady? 4. Does your school have a library? 5. What do usually do when you go to the library? 6. Who usually helps you find the books in the library? - Have students predict the true/false sentences 1. The library opens at 7.30 am. 2. The library closes at 4.30 pm. 3. Magazines and newspapers are on the same rack. 4. Math and science books are on the shelves on the right. 5. History and Geography books are at the back of the library. 6. Dictionaries and Literature in Vietnamese are on the racks. 7. English books are on the shelves on the left. 8. Readers, novels, dictionaries, and reference books are on the shelves at the back of the library. - Elicit new vocabulary : rack , reference book , reader(s) , novel , dictionary - Have students notice the structures: These racks have magazines. The shelves on the left have Math and science books. - Remind students of the prepositions of position. - Play the tape for students While – reading. - Ask students to read the dialogue and check the true/false sentences - Correct mistakes if necessary - Have students practice the dialogue in pairs. - Ask students to answer the questions. a. The magazines are on the racks (near the science books) b. The newspapers are on the racks (near the history books) c. The math and the science books are on the shelves on the left. d. The History and Geography books, Dictionaries and Literature in Vietnamese are on the shelves on the right. e. The books in English are at the back of the library. f. The library opens at 7 a.m. g.
