Procedures: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm – up. - Have students look at the pictures to retell about Liz’s Nguyen Aquarium. Pre – reading. - Dictate the changed paragraph 1 to students “Yesterday, I talked to Liz Robinson about her vacation in Nha Trang. Liz’s a good friend of mine. She is English. Liz and her parents arrived in Ho Chi Minh City last year from the USA. Mr. Robinson works at a hospital in Ha Noi. He’s an English doctor. The family rented a house next door to mine.” - Stick the changed paragraph on the board. - Ask students to read the changed paragraph above. - Ask students to guess at the changes. While – reading. - Get students to work in pairs, skimming the paragraph to find the changes and correct them. - Ask students to give feedback . - Ask students to read the whole letter silently. - Ask students to look at the section Now make these sentences true, to correct them. - Ask students to give feedback a. Liz lived next door to Ba. b. Liz learned Vietnamese in Viet Nam. c. Ba collects stamps. d. Liz’s aunt lives in New York. e. The Robinson moved to the other side of Ha Noi. f. The Robinson moved.
