III/Techniques : eliciting , brainstorming ,questioning and answering , multiple choice.

IV/Teaching aids : cassette , pictures for presentation , handouts for practice

I/Objectives :
 + Teaching aim : - By the end of the lesson students can learn how to give advice 
 and reply on Video Games, and talk about Video Games and their affects.

 + Vocabulary : inventor, dizzy, outdoors, social skills 
III/Techniques : eliciting , brainstorming ,questioning and answering , multiple choice.
IV/Teaching aids :	cassette , pictures for presentation , handouts for practice 
VI/ Procedures :
1/Warm- up
- Have ss write some bad effects of video games on our health.
- Have SS answer the questions.
 + What should / shouldn’t you do in your free time?
2/Pre-reading
- Have ss tick (3) T or F.
Doctor’s advice : T / F
1.Video games are good for children.
2. Spend much time on these games.
3. Take part in activities with others.
4. Play indoors and develop skills of playing games.
5. Not play outdoors.
6. Develop social skills.
7. Be with older people.
8. Spend a lot of free time playing video games.
9. Remember to do other things.
- Explain some new words: inventor, dizzy, outdoors, social skills.
-Call some SS to give the answers in front of the class.
- Play the tape for ss.
3/WhilE- reading
- Ask ss to read the text silently.
- Have ss tell the main idea of the reading. 
 + What is the main idea of the reading?
- Ask ss to recheck the T/F doctor’s advice.
- Have ss look at the section “Now answer. Complete the sentences” and choose the correct answers.
- Help ss understand the reading text.
-Call some SS to give the answers in front of thwe class.
-Make correction.
4/Post-reading
- Have ss list the bad effects of playing video games and the advice for players.
