LESSON 3: IN THE CITY (B1,2)
	I Objectives :
	 + Teaching aim : - By the end of the lesson students can :
	+ Review of saying ‘likes and dislikes’.
	+ Talk about the past actions.
	+ Talk about hobbies.
	+ develop reading skill.
	II Language contents :
	 + Grammar : 	+ Past simple.
	+ Used to + V-inf 
	+ Hate + V-ing / Noun.
	+ Get used to + V-ing / Noun / Pronoun.	
	+ Vocabulary : rest, noise, busy roads, direction, traffic , move, awake (keep me 
 awake), scare
III Techniques :	eliciting , brainstorming ,questioning and answering , role-playing.
IV Teaching aids : cassette , pictures for presentation , handouts for 	practice . 
VI Procedures :
1/Warm – up
- Have ss play ‘Slap the board’ with these words: tired ,dizzy, play outdoors, social skills, inventors, arcade, forget.
- Ask questions about the bad effects of video games.
2/Pre – reading
- Have ss look at the picture in the book.
- Ask questions.
 + Where is this, a city or a countryside?
 + What do you think about the life in the city and in the countryside? (Tick the table)
- Elicit the new words and structures: the rest of the week, move here, a little traffic, busy roads, noise, awake (Keep me awake), direction, scare.
- Have ss distinguish the difference between the structures: used to and get/be used to
* Used to + V-inf (past habit action that no longer in present time.)
 * Be/get used to + V-ing (present habit action.)
3/While – reading
- Play the tape for ss.
- Ask ss to read the dialogue silently.
- Ask ss to answer the questions
-Call some pairs to ask and answer in front of the class.
-Make correction.
- Have ss practice the dialogues.
4/Post – reading
- Have ss write the information in the table.
- Ask questions.
 + Where do you like to live, in the city or in the countryside? Why?
5/Homework 
- Write a short paragraph to the questions above.
