New lesson: Teacher’activities Ss’ activities. *Warm up : brainstorm: -Ask Ss to tell some famous people in Viet Nam: -write on the board. While-reading: -ask Ss to read the dialogue and check their prediction. -correct Ss’answers. -Ask ss to listen to the tape and repeat. -let ss read the dialogue in pairs. -correct Ss’pronunciation. 3- Post-reading: Ask Ss to make up the dialogues with the words or phrases given. -clever/powerful/strong/gentle/kind -pretty/handsome/funny/fast. -correct Ss’ dialogue. -speak out. -look at the picture and answer the questions. -copy down. -read chorally and individually. -go to the board and write on. -predict.T/F. *Answer key : 1-F 2-F 3-T 4-F 5-T 6-F -read the text and check their prediction then correct the wrong sentences. -listen to the tape and repeat. -read in pairs. *Answer key: 1-like 2-prefer 3-guess 4-favorite. -read the dialogue and complete it. -read the adjectives in the box and make the dialogue. Example exchange: A-Do you like My Tam ? B-No,not very much. I prefer My Linh. A-Why do you prefer My Linh ? B-Because she sings better my Tam. a- Complete the dialogue and then practice with a parner. b-Make the dialogue about famous people: IV. Consolidation: Let Ss make the dialogue and practice to consolidate. V. Home work: At home : +learn new words by heart. +read the dialogue fluently. +make some similar dialogue and write in notebook. +do exercises 5,6 in work book.
