Warm up: (5m) - Show 5 pictures on page 54 to the students - Have them to write the subject under each picture. - Give feedback and correct III. New lesson: *Pre-listening - Show the pictures and set the scene: They are Ba and Hoa. They go to school on Saturday morning. All of you try to guess what subjects Ba and Hoa have on Saturday morning. - Ask Ss to write the correct letters next to their name. Ss: Listen and try to answer - Give feedback *While listening: - Ss listen and check their prediction. * TapeTranscription: On Friday morning, Ba and Hoa go to school. Some of the subjects they do on Saturday are the same, but some of them are different. At 7 o’clock Ba has Technology and Hoa has Computer Science. These classes last for 2 periods. At 8.40 Ba has Geography. Hoa doesn’t have Geography on Saturday. She has Physical Education instead. In the last period, they have the same class. Ba and Hoa both have class activities them. * Pre- reading: - Elicit some new words - Model them Ss: Listen, observe , guess the meaning, then practice reading as the teacher says - Give a posters with sbjects and items. Ask ss to do matching. - Ss predict sujects that will appear in the text. * While reading: T: Introduce the text. Ss: Practice reading in chorus and independent . T: Gives ss aposter with questions on it. Ask ss to read the text and answer them. Ss: run through the questions and try to answer. *Post reading: (8m) Ss: Work in teams to ask and answer about subjects. Example exchange: S1: What do you do in History? Objectives :By the end of this period, Ss will be able to talk about some recess activity vocabulary and revision of present progresive tense. B. Language contents: * Grammar: - present progressive tense. * Vocabulary: recess, bell, excited, chat, blind man’s bluff, catch, indoor, marble. C. Techniques: Ask and answer, pair work, group work ,chatting D. Teaching aids: Textbook, lesson plan, posters, color chalk, E. Procedures: I. New lesson: * Presentation: T: From warming up teacher sets and gives out the meaning of some new words . - Practice them and reading the text. Ss: Look and copy down. Listen carefully and practice in chorus and independent. T: Listen and correct pronunciation. T:Shows the pictures and set the scene Ss: Listen and read the text to complete the list. Ss: Remember form and use of the present progressive tense. * Practice: T: Let Ss look at the pictures carefully and practice asking and answering.
