- Introduce new friend.
- To inquire and answer people’s greeting.
- Ask and answer some question about Hoa.
2. Teaching aim:
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
+ Greet people and identify oneself
+ Develop their listening, reading skill.

Education aim: - Introduce new friend. - To inquire and answer people’s greeting. - Ask and answer some question about Hoa. 2. Teaching aim: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: + Greet people and identify oneself + Develop their listening, reading skill. II/ Preparation: - Pictures for present, cassette, tape, chalk. III/ Procedures: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1/ WARM – UP. (5’) - Have a chat with sts. a. Do you have any new friend? b. What do you say to your friend when you first meet after the summer vacation? c. Are you happy to be back to school again? 2/ ACTIVITY 1: Listen (18’) A. Pre – listening: - Have sts look at the pictures. - Play the tape of the dialogue (a) about twice times. - Ask questions. a. How many people are there? b. Who are they? c. Do you know who is a new student? - Give feedback. - Present vocabulary: + Classmate (n): baïn cuøng lôùp. + Meet (v): gaëp. + Nice to meet/ see you +So am I: Toâi cuõng vaäy. - Have sts notice the difference between: “Nice to meet you” and “Nice to see you” - Have sts practice the dialogues in group work. B. While – listen: - Make situation: Hoa is new friend. Hoa wants to great a boy friend classmate. - Play the tape of the dialogue (b) twice times. - Ask sts to practice the dialogue in pair work. - Call on some pair present in front of class. C. Post – listening: - Ask sts read the dialogue again and answer the question. - Call on some sts to answer the questions. - Give feedback and correct. a) Her name is Hoa. b) She is in class 7A. c) Nam is also in class 7A. 3/ ACTIVITY 2: READ (25’) A. Pre – reading: - Ask sts to look at the picture and ask questions. 1. How many schools are there in the picture? 2. Which school is bigger? - Introduce the lesson. - Explain vocabulary: + Different: Khaùc nhau + Unhappy = not happy: Khoâng vui. + Miss sb: nhôù ai ñoù. - Ask sts to listen and repeat. B. While – reading: - Ask sts to read the text silently. - Call some sts to read the text aloud. - Ask sts to answer the questions. - Call some sts to give answer the questions. - Give feedback and correct. a) She is from Hue. b) She is staying with her uncle and aunt. c) No, she doesn’t have any friends in Ha Noi. d) Her new school is bigger than her old school. e) She is unhappy because she misses her parents and her friends. - Call sts to practice answering the questions.
