New lesson: Teacher & ss’ activities Contents 1. Warm up: T: Ask ss to play game by connect sentences .( use sub-board) Ss : try to connect. T: ask ss to practice in pairs again. 2. Presentation: Setting the scene: -What is Hoa’s family name ? -What is her middle name ? - How far is it from her house to school? Let’s go on B 4,5. - Test some information about Hoa by using the questions. Ss:get marks if the answer is right T:elicit the new words from the ss. Model them . Ss: listen and repeat in chorus, individual. Give meaning and copy down. - Ask Ss to predict the answers. Let ss listen the dialogue to check the prediction. Ss:listen and check. Ss: read the dial. in chorus, in groups. T: Control whole class - Introduce the new structure from warming up. Explain clearly and takes some examples. Ss: Listen and copy down. 3. Practice: T: run through the pictures. Model the first picture cue. Ss: listen and repeat in chorus ,in groups. Do the rest. T: mention a grammar point ,using with “ How far..?” 4. Further practice: - Ask Ss to work in groups. Ss:ask and answer about the distance from their house to school in groups 5. Conclusion and homework T: Remark all period and note the way to use this structure Ss: Listen carefully. * Finding friend do you go to school everyday? -fine thanks.
