 Part A1 Sports 
1. The aims:
 a. Kiến thức:
	- Học sinh làm quen với chủ đề mới- chủ đề thể thao, qua hoạt động giới thiệu ngữ điệu mới học sinh biết tên các môn thể thao được thiếu niên ở Mỹ yêu thích nhất, đồng thời làm quen với hàng loạt tên các môn thể thao như: 
 + Vocabulary :
 - Skate boarding - Roller- skating 
 - Roller – blading - Baseball
 - Surprisingly - Surprising result.
 - To win - Competition 
 - Prize - Participant 
 + Grammar:
 - Review the simple past tense and simple present tense.
 b. Kĩ năng:
	- Học sinh luyện kĩ năng nghe và luyện tập đoạn hội thoại và nâng cao kĩ năng hoàn thành phiếu thăm dò. 
 c. Thái độ:
	- Học sinh có thái độ nghiêm túc, hăng hái xây dựng bài học.
2. Preparation:
 a. Teacher: Textbook, tape, cassette, pictures,... 
	 b. Students: Student’s book / Prepare new lesson/Learn old lesson.
 3. Procedures:
	a. Checking the old lesson:(5’) 
Ask Ss some questions such as :
+ Do you like playing sports ?
+ What sport do you play ?
+ When do you play .?
+ Who do you often play with ?
+ What do you think about ?

- T asks Ss to read new words in chorus and individually.

- T asks Ss to discuss in groups about the question: What sports do you think are the most popular in the USA ?
- T calls on some groups to give their prediction.
- T asks Ss to look at the books and listen to the tape then check their prediction.
- T calls on some Ss to give the answers.
- T asks Ss to read the text in silent.
- T calls on some Ss to read the text aloud.
- T asks Ss to answer the question:
- T asks Ss to work in pairs asking and answering the questions.
- T calls on some pairs to practice in front of the class.

- T asks Ss to write the number of students who like each sport best, then complete the table in the notebooks.

 + Do exercise 1, 2 at page 79, 80 in workbook.
