- Học sinh làm quen với chủ đề mới- chủ đề thể thao, qua hoạt động giới thiệu ngữ điệu mới học sinh biết tên các môn thể thao được thiếu niên ở Mỹ yêu thích nhất, đồng thời làm quen với hàng loạt tên các môn thể thao như:

+ Grammar:

Checking the old lesson:(5’) Ask Ss some questions such as : + Do you like playing sports ? + What sport do you play ? + When do you play .? + Who do you often play with ? + What do you think about ? . Remark and lead in new lesson. b. New lesson: T’s Activities Content Ss’ Activities - T introduces the situation of the lesson and ask Ss to look at the pictures then answer the questions: What are they doing ? - T explains some new words: - T asks Ss to read new words in chorus and individually. - T guides Ss to play a game: Slap the board. - T asks Ss to discuss in groups about the question: What sports do you think are the most popular in the USA ? - T calls on some groups to give their prediction. - T asks Ss to look at the books and listen to the tape then check their prediction. - T calls on some Ss to give the answers. - T asks Ss to read the text in silent. - T calls on some Ss to read the text aloud. - T asks Ss to answer the question: - T asks Ss to work in pairs asking and answering the questions. - T calls on some pairs to practice in front of the class.
