I. The aims :
 By the end of the lesson , students will be able to understand video games and some disadvantages of playing video games .

 Eliciting , pairwork , groupwork .

 Textbook , tape , cassette , pictures .

1. Warm up :
- Greetings .
- Ask students some questions such as :
+ Do you like playing video games ?
+ How often do you play video games ?
+ How long do you usually spend playing video games?
+ What do you think about playing video games ?
- Remark and lead in new lesson .
2. New activities :
A. Listen and read .
- Introduce the situation of the lesson , then ask students to do an exercise : True or False prediction .
1. Children like playing video games because they are good fun .
2. It’ s very good for children to spend too much time on their own .
3. Playing video games for a long time will make the children become tired .
4. Children mustn’t play outdoors with their friends .
5. Some inventors become rich when they are very young .
- Have students work in groups .
- Call on some groups to give their prediction.
- Ask students to look at the books and listen to the tape then check their prediction .
- Call on some students to give the answers .
- Correct and give the correct answers :

- Have students listen to the tape again and introduce some new words :

- Call on some students to give the answers in front of the class .
- Correct the mistake and give the correct answers .

B. Complete the passage with the words in the box .
- Explain the request of the exercise then introduce some new words .
