I. OBJECTIVE:

* After the lesson , Sts can :

+ remember, write and read ordinal number

+ Read and write names of months correctly

+ ask and answer their birthday and others

* Practice pronunciation “th” , listening skill about ordinal number .

* Sts love the time more

II. PREPARATION

- Teacher : plan , pictures , book , card , stereo

- Student : book , noterbook , pen , ruler , prepare new lesson .

- Techniques : Communicative approach , wok in pair / group

I. OBJECTIVE:
* After the lesson , Sts can :
+ remember, write and read ordinal number

II. PREPARATION

III. PROCEDURES
1.Greeting and checking attendance 
2. The previous lesson:
-T asks sts to write some words , read and the answer some questions
 Our school has two floors.
+ The First floor has six rooms.
+ The second floor has six rooms, too.
2) Our class has thirty-seven students.
 Lan is the thirty-sixth student in the list.
Sts answer them .
-T checks them up and provides correct answers

- SS answer “ It’s a calendar. ”
- T asks SS to listen to the tape and write the dates
- SS listen twice and write the dates. Then compare the answers with their partner.
- T calls on some people to give the answers
- SS give the answers
- T has SS listen again and check
- Whole class
- T sticks the card on the board and asks “ What are these? ”
- S answers “ They are the months in a year. ”
- T reads aloud the months
- SS listen
- T asks SS to write the months in order from first to twelfth
- Pairwork
- T calls on some SS to read the answers
- SS read aloud
- T gives feedback
- SS write down

- first, second, thirty-sixth: ordinal numbers
- Ordinal number = cardinal number + th
Eg. six => sixth , eleven => eleventh
* Special cases: 
- third ( 3rd ) - except ( v) -> expl
- fifth ( 5th ) - appear ( v) -> expl 
- ninth ( 9th ) - all the rest ( n ) -> expl 
- twelfth (12th ) - leap year (n ) -> transl
- twentieth (20th )
- thirtieth ( 30th )
