Language function: To get the Ss to work in pairs and brainstorm all words they know. Educational aim: To make the Ss aware of the usefulness of library. II. Language: 1. Method: Communicative approach 2. Techniques: Repetition, Ask and answer, using picture. 3. Materials needed: Textbook, picture, and cassette. 4. Students’ preparation: Homework, new lesson, teaching aids. IV. Procedure in class: 1. Stabilization: (3ms) a. Warm – up: Makes greetings (Good morning, class. / How are you?) b. Checking absence: Asks the monitor 2. Checking – up previous knowledge: (5ms) -Has one student go to the board and write the new words and answer the questions: a, Where are the newspapers? b, What time does the library open? c, What books are on the right? Keys: a, They are on the rack. b, It closes at 4.30 p.m. c, History, Geography books, dictionaries and literrature in Viet Nam. 3. Asks them to make questions and answer about the dialogue. A2 Hangs the picture on the board and asks the Ss to listen and guess label the shelves ans racks 4. Free-Practice: Asks the Ss to make the dialogue between reader and librarian 5.Consolidation: Emphasizes the structures. -Answer: + Yes, I do + Yes, I do -Listen -Answer Repeat twice -Practise -Answer and write down on the board.
