Warm – up: Show the clock and ask sts the questions: What time is it? What time do you get up?... New lesson: TIME TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES Review how to say the time: - Show the clock and ask sts to say the time. - Give them the question: WHAT TIME IS IT? 1) a. b. c. d. => IT’S + NUMBER + O’CLOCK. 2) e. f. g. h. => A HALF = 30 minutes A QUARTER = 15 Minutes 3) i. j. IT’S + TIME + MINUTE IT’S + MINUTE + PAST/ TO + TIME Give more examples so that sts can understand more. Ask about the daily routine. - Ask one st: a. What time do you get up? b. What time do you go to school? c. What time do you have breakfast?... - Ask sts to work in pairs - Show them some pictures about the routine and ask them to ask and answer with “WHAT TIME?” a) b) c) d) e) f) - Call some to stand up and speak aloud. - Correct their conversations - Look at the clocks - Answer the T’s questions a.
