Date of preparation: 18/10 UNIT 5: WORK AND PLAY Period 27: PART A2 IN CLASS I. Aims and Objectives: Language content: To introduce Ss what Ba learns and his favorite subjects. Language function: To enable them to tell about their hobby on subjects at school. Educational aim: To help them know the way of putting what they learn at school into use. II. Language: 1. Vocabulary: Electronics, repair, appliances . . . 2. Structure: + Good at + Wh- questions 3. Skills: Integrated skills. III. Teacher and students’ preparation: 1. Method: Communicative approach 2. Techniques: Repetition, Ask and answer, using picture. 3. Materials needed: Textbook, picture, and cassette. 4. Students’ preparation: Homework, new lesson, teaching aids. IV. Procedure in class: 1. Stabilization: (3ms) a. Warm – up: Makes greetings (Good morning, class./ How are you?) b. Checking absence: Asks the monitor: Who is absent today? 2. Checking – up previous knowledge: (5ms) -Has 2 students to write some questions and the answers about Mai (good Ss) 3. Controlled - Practice: -Tells them to read the passage about Ba then answer some questions about Ba. - Explans difficult questions -Calls some to present on the b/b(speak first, then write the answers) -Checks and corrects -Calls some couples to ask and answer again -Helps them check their prediction 4. Free-Practice: -Has them work in groups: discussion What do you do in your free time? What are you good at? What is your favorite subject? -Calls some to present in front of the class 5.
