Warm up: T asks Ss to answer some questions: - What will you do next summer vacation? - Do you think vacations in the USA are the same or different from vacations in Viet Nam?... New lesson: Method Content *Pre- reading: T introduces the lesson: “This is a letter Which Tim write to Hoa, a friend in VN. He tells her some more about the vacations in America and he also wants to know the vacations in VN” T asks Ss to read the passage quickly and find out whose letter it is and to whom it is sent. T lets Ss read the letter individually. T explains the meaning of these holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving..) T leads Ss to read then calls some Ss to read again. T reviews the Comparative adjectives * While- reading: T calls some Ss to read the letter aloud. T remarks and corrects the mistakes if necessary. T lets them read the questions and find the answers. *Post- reading: T calls some Ss to practice before the class and others write the answers on the board. T remarks and corrects the mistakes if necessary. *Pre-listening: T explains the request of exercise and the meaning of new word. T lets Ss to look at the pictures and ask them to guess what day it is. Teacher can remind some things about these days. *While-listening: T has Ss listen to the tape twice and write the names of the holidays. T asks Ss to compare the result with a partner. T has Ss listen once more to check again * Post-listening: T calls some Ss to answer aloud and others write the answers on the board. T remarks and corrects the mistakes if necessary. A2. Read.
