T's preparation: - Posters about Hoa's family. B. PROCEDURE: T'S ACTIVITIES TIME SS' ACTIVITIES I. ORGANIZATION: - T greeting to ss then asks them some qs: How are you today? What the weather like today? II. CHECKING UP THE OLD LESSON: - T calls ss to go to the bb and rewrite the newwords in lesson 4. - T gets feedback and gives marks. III. Presentation: - T sets the scene to introduce the text. - Then asks ss to red the text about Mr Tuan and using the information from the Finding Friends to fill in the grid. - Ss read the text and call out the model sentences: Model sentences about comparatives: - Mr Tuan works more hours than Mr Jones. - Mr Jones works fewer hours than Mr Tuan. - Mr Jones has more vacation time than Mr Tuan. - Mr Tuan has less vacation time than Mr Jones. 2. Practice: Word cue Drill: - T asks ss to use the grid that they have finished to practice. ( Grid B3 p77) - Ss use the model sentences to practice. 3. Further Practice: Language Focus 3 (5) p98. - Ss make new sentences about the amount of food in the refrigeretor 2, compare with the one in the F1. IV. CONSOLIDATION: - T asks ss to retell the comparative with more, less and fewer. V. HOMEWORK: - Ss learn by heart vocab at home and do exercises in their notebooks. - Prepare for the new lesson: Lesson 6: B4. 1m 4ms 4ms 7ms 10ms 8ms 7ms 3ms 1m - Ss listen to T. - Answer the qs in speaking form. - Ss go to the bb and rewrite the vocab in lesson 4. - Ss listen to T. - Copy the table in their notebooks. - Ss fill in the table with the information about Mr Jones. - Ss listen to T. - repeat in chorus and individually. - Copy in their notebooks. - Ss practice saying vocab in the circle. - Ss listen to T. Read the text and complete the grid in B3. - Then ss call out the model sentences about comparative with more, less and fewer. - Ss use the grid to practice saying the sentences about comparatives. - Ss make new sentences about the amount of the food in the f2 with the one in F1. - Ss learn by heart the newwords and prepare for the new lesson.
