Date: Period 52 UNIT 8 : PLACES Lesson 4 : B- At the post office ( B1 ) I. Aims By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to give the requirements . They will practice asking and answering about the price . II. Procedures Teacher’s and students’ activities Content - Teacher asks Students some questions such as: - Students answer the questions ( Ss can answer the questions in Vietnamese ) - Teacher remarks and leads in the new lesson . - Teacher asks students to look at the picture and introduce some services at the post office such as : sending letters , sending and receiving parcels , money , buying envelopes , stamps .then explain some vocabulary and structures. - Students listen and write down into the notebook. - Teacher reads vocabulary. - Students listen and read ( choral, individual) Teacher uses technique “Slap the board” to check student. - Students to play a game. - Teacher introduces structures - Students take note - Teacher asks students to make sentences , using the structures . - Students make sentences with the structures - Teacher introduces the situation of the conversation then ask Students to do exercise - Students listen to the teacher . - Teacher asks students close their book. - Students do as request. - Teacher asks students listen to the tape and check True or False. - She asks students to work in groups . - Students work in groups . - Teacher calls on some groups to give their predictions . - Students give the predictions - Teacher asks students to look at the book and listen to the tape then check the predictions . - Students look at the book and listen to the tape then correct the predictions . - Teacher calls on some students to give the answers , correct and give the correct answers : - Teacher has Students read the dialogue in pairs -Students practice in pairs . - Teacher calls on some pairs to read the dialogue in front of the class. - Students practice in front of the class. - Teacher corrects the pronunciation . - Teacher ask Students to look at the dialogue again to find out the answers for the questions in the book . - Students look at the dialogue again and find out the answers for the questions . - Teacher has Students play a game : Lucky numbers - Students play a game in groups . - Teacher remarks and asks students to write the answers in the notebooks . - Teacher asks students to write a passage using the questions given - Students answer. - Teacher goes around class and provide help . - Teacher calls on some Students to read their writing in front of the class . - Students read the writing aloud - Teacher corrects the mistake and remarks Teacher gives the cues writing Students take note - Teacher gives her request - Students take note and write down into the notebook.
