Part A: ASKING THE WAY (A1,2)
A.Objectives:
	By the end of the lesson, students will be able to ask the way; modal verb “Could”; prepositions of position and directions, expressions for asking and giving directions. 
	Focus on speaking, reading, listening and writing skills.
B.Teaching aids:
	Pictures, cassette player, posters.

1.Warm up:
 Where are they? Who are they? What does the tourist want?
2.Presentation:
I. Activity 1:
Names the places:
a.National Bank of Viet Nam.
b.Saint Paul Hospital.
c.Hotel.
d.The Central Post Office.
e.Ha Noi Railway Station.
f.Dong Xuan market.
II. Activity 2:
Listen and repeat:
 New words:
 - Tourist (n): khách du lịch
 - Souvenir (n): vật lưu niệm
 - Souvenir shop (n): quầy bán đồ lưu niệm
 - Go straight ahead : đi thẳng
 - Take the . . . street : rẽ ở đường
 - Opposite (prep): đối diện
 - In front of (prep): phía trước
 - Go along (v): đi dọc theo
 - Go to the end (v): đi đến cuối đường
 - Cross the street : băng qua đường

Students write the names of the pictures on the board.
Teacher corrects the names of the pictures.

Students practice in front of class.
Teacher reminds how to ask the way to students.
Students listen to the teacher and write down.
