Content
1.Warm up:
T: ‘Now tell me what do you remember most in the first semester?’; ‘In which subject do you get the highest score?’ ‘ And what are you going to do in this semester?’
S: Answer the T’s questions.
2.Presentation:
Questions & answers:
What do you always do in summer? Do you like traveling? Do you know which place is it? (T uses some pictures of Nha Trang to show them) 
‘What can we do when we visit NT? 
-We’ll listen to a dialogue between Liz & Ba. They are talking about Liz’s vacation in NT. You listen and tell me what they did there.
S: listen to the tape 
-T asks S if there are any new words & explain them.
3. Practice:
-S listen & read after the tape (class split half to play 2 roles)
-pair work (practicing the dialogue)
-Answering the questions.
-T corrects. Then explains grammar notes about past simple tense with regular and irregular verbs.
4.Consolidation:
-Look at the picture A1 again & explain why Hoa’s uncle uses past simple tense - past activities.
5. Homework:
-Learn vocabulary and some verbs in past tense in Remember part by heart.
-Prepare A2,3.

1.Pre- reading
Questions & answers:
S are asked to talk about Liz’s vacations and holiday.
‘How was Liz’s vacation?’; What did she think of NT?; What places did she visit?’
S- answer
Now we will listen and read the text about one of the most interesting and memorable activities which Liz and her family did during the vacation in TriNguyen aquarium.
‘Can you guess what Liz and her family did during the visit to Tri Nguyen aquarium?
2.While- reading
S read the text silently & take notes in Aquarium and what they did there.
3.Post -reading
-Pair work: S ask & answer questions about the text.
T gives correct answers.
Now tell the story of Liz’s trip to Tri Nguyen aquarium with some pictures given.
-S identify the action of each picture.
-Review vocabulary. 
* A3 Listen and write the letter of the sentences:
In this activity, you will have a chance to know more about their trip such as: means of transport, arrival time
T: look at the part 3 (p 89) and listen to the tape and choose the right information.
T: plays the tape 2 times and then 2 more times for them to check the right sentences.
T: explains some new words.
 4.Homework:
- T helps S to write sentences about vacation & activities on the holiday.

d) Mr. Robinson bought Liz a cap with a picture of a dolphin on it. Mrs. Robinson bought a poster.
e) After their visit to the aquarium, the Robinson went to a food stall. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson ate fish and crab and Liz ate noodles.

2.While- reading:
S read the text first time.
-Show some new words in reading.
-T gives meanings of words in context.
-Read the text silently & find the information to make these sentences true as example.
3.Post -reading
-Pair work: S make sentences true relating to the diary.
T gives correct answers.
4. Consolidation:
- Asks & answer about what they write at home.
5.Homework:
- Write a diary of their own.
- learn by heart some verb in past tense (regular and irregular) in remember part.
-Prepare Unit 9 (B1).
