Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Ask and answer questions about the lesson schedule of different subjects.
- Understand the dialogue between Jim and his Mom about his study.
- Introduce structure: reported speech.

What subjects are you good / bad at? b. What subjects do you like best? Why? c. How often do you have (math)? 2. Presentation: (10’) - Ask students to look at the picture and introduce the lesson. - Pre-teach vocabulary. + a report card (n) + be proud of + semester (n) + improve (v) + pronunciation (n) + improve (v) + try one’s best to do sth. + believe (v) + promise (v) - Play the tape for students. 3. Practice: (15’) - Have students read the dialogue in pairs. - Ask students to do True/ False sentences. - Have students give feedback. - Require students to correct the false sentences. a.
