* Set the scene: This is the schedule on Friday and Saturday of the Ss in class. You have to guess and complete it – the subject and the time – before listening.
- Ask Ss to draw the table on page 43 in their notebooks.
- Get Ss to work in pairs and complete the schedule.
- Have Ss listen to the tape twice and compare with their guess.
* Tape transcript:
 Good morning, everybody. There are some small changes to your schedule this Friday and Saturday. Please write the correct subjects and time in your books. One Friday, English is at 7 am. As usual, then Geography is at 7.50. The next class is Music at 8.40. We start again at 9.40 with Physics and our last lesson of the day is History.
 On Saturday afternoon, the first class is Physical education at one o’clock and the second class is Math. We have another period of English at 3.40 and Physics is at half past four. Any question? No? Good. Let’s continue with today’s class.
- Ask Ss to read the dialogue between Hoa and Thu (A5 – page 44).
- Get Ss to work in pairs and answer the questions.
- Ask Ss pratice asking and answering.
- Get Ss write their schedule in their notebooks.
- Have them ask and answer about their schedule with their partners.

 Schools in Vietnam are little different from schools in the U.S.A. Ss in Vietnam have to wear uniform.Classes in the morning start at 7.00 and finish at 11.00. Classes in the afternoon start at 1.00 and finish 5.00. There are classes on Saturday.
 Ss have lunch at home. There is one 15-minute break in the morning and one in the afternoon. There isn’t usually school cafeteria in Vietnam. Athe most popular after school activities are badminton, soocer or play video games.
