PREPARATIONS: Book, pictures, cassette tape III. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1. Warm - up: (5’) - Ask Ss some questions: + Where do you live? + Is there a near / next to ? 2 . Presentation: (10’) - Ask Ss to look at the picture: - Introduce some new words: 1. in front of (prep) 2. behind (prep) 3. in (prep) 4. on (prep) 5. near (prep) 6. next to (prep) 7. well (n) 8. mountain (n) - Ask Ss practice new words. - Presentation picture and set the scene: We are talking about a house. - Point to the things and ask them to tell the names of the things around. - Ask them to read the text. - Call some Ss to read aloud. 3. Practice: (10’) - Ask Ss look at the pictures. - say the model sentences: +Where are the mountains? + They are behind the house. - Have Ss practice in pairs. a) mountains d) flowers b) trees e) well c) yard f) house - Correct their mistakes. 4. Production: (10’) - Ask them to look at the pictures. - Let Ss listen to the tape and find the right picture. a) Which is Ba’s house? - A b) Which is Lan’s house? - B c) Which is Tuan’s house? – B 5. Homework: (5’) - Ask Ss to learn by heart vocabulary and how to describe the position of the house.
