+ Describe the recess activities in the textbook or at school.
B. Knowledge: Vocabulary: ring, at recess, chat, blind man’s bluff, play catch, play marbles, skip rope.
Grammar: The present simple with actions happened daily.
C. Skills: Writing, speaking, reading, listening.
II. Preparation:
A. Teacher: posters.cassettes, tape.
B. Students: Writing pads.

Warm up: Chatting. -Ask Ss to look at the pictures and answer the questions: a. Where are the children ? b. What are they doing ? c. What time is for ? B. New lesson: Teacher’activities Ss’activities I. Language Presentation: Activity 1: Pre-teach: - to ring (v): reo - at recess (n) giờ ra chơi. - to be excited /ik saitid / (a) hào hứng. - to chat (v) tán gẫu, nói chuyện phiếm - blind man’s bluff (v) chơi bịt mắt bắt dê. - play catch (v) chơi đuổi bắt. - to play marbles (n) chơi bi. - to skip rope (v) nhảy dây. - until : cho đến khi. -i ndoor >< ngoài trời nhaì. -Ask Ss to read chorally and individually. *Check vocab:Matching. Activity 2: Presentation text : -ask Ss to listen to the tape and repeat . -Call on some Ss to read individually. -Check Ss’pronunciation. Activity 3: Complete the table: a-Ask Ss to open the books and read the text silently and complete the lists. II. Practice Activity 4: Picture drill -Ask Ss to remind the present progressive tense. -Write on the board. Activity 5: Role play -Ask ss to work in pairs .Look at the pictures and ask the answer. *Example exchange: P1: What is this boy doing ? He is playing catch. -Correct Ss’practise. III. Futher- Practice: Activity 6: Write -it -up : - Ask Ss to write some activities what they play at recess. - Call on some Ss to read their writing. -correct Ss mistakes. -answer the qeustions. a -They are in the school yard. b- They arer playing games. c- It’s time for recess. -listen and read chorally -read individually. - copy down. - go to the board and match. - listen to the tape and repeat. -read individually. - read the text and complete the lists. and write in the notebooks. Example : What are you doing at recess ? - We are playing catch - We are not playing catch. - Are you playing catch ? -answer the questions. -write in the notebooks. -copy down. -look at the pictures and speak out. -copy down. Example exchange: S1: What is this boy doing ? S2: He is playing catch. -Work individually. And write in the notebook IV. Homework assignments: At home : +Learn new words by heart. +read the text then answer the questions. +Review the present progressive tense. +Do exercises B 1,2 in work book. V.
