New lesson: Teacher’activities Ss’ activities. *Warm up: Network. -Ask Ss to retell the most popular sports in the USA and Viet Nam. -write on the board. *Possible answer:Soccer, baseball, tennis, table tennis, skate-boarding, basketball, swimming, volleyball. 1-Presentation: a) Pre-teach vocab: -skillfull (a)khéo léo -skillfully (adv) -slow (a) chậm chạp -slowly (adv) -bad (a) xấu, tồi -badly (adv) -quick (a)nhanh -quickly (adv) -safe (a)an toàn -safely (adv) -cyclist (n) người đạp xe . *Check vocab: Matching. b) Presentation text: -Ask Ss to tisten to the tape and repeat. -call Ss read individually. -correct mistakes. c) Grammar: Model sentences: *He is a good soccer player.He plays well. *She is a slow swimmer. She swims slowly. *Cách chuyễn tính từ sng trạng từ. Adj +ly = adv slow +ly = slowly . *Một số tinh từ không theo quy tắc như: late, hard, early, fast. Example: He works hard- It is a hard worker. 2- Practice: Picture drill. -Ask Ss to look at the pictures and practice with the partner. -correct. 3-Production:A5 Activities1: -Ask Ss to change the adjectives in brackets to adverds. -call Ss stand up and speak out. *Answer key: Clearly,carefully,safely,carelessly,strickly.
