Prepare Unit 16 : A 1, A 2 - T asks students to write the words about life in the city on the board. - Ss work in groups to write the words on the board. - T declares the winner. Pre-listening - T asks students to look at the pictures and give the activity of each picture. - Ss work in pairs to give the activity of each picture and gives the answers. - T gives feedback - T asks students to write the names Hoa, Nga, Nam, Lan, Ba next to the picture. - Ss work in pairs to guess the name next to the pictures. While – listening - T turns on the cassette twice. - Ss listen to the text and check their guesses, then give the answers. - T gives feedback Pre-reading + Pre-teach vocabulary T uses: . example . translation . example - Ss listen, repeat and copy. - T checks : What and where + Pre-reading activity - T sets the scene : “ You are going to read the text about Hoa. Post-reading - T asks students to write the things that Hoa often does in the evening. - Ss write the things that Hoa often does in the evening individually, compare , and then write on the board. - T checks their results.
