 - Ss practice reading and writing.

Procedure

Warm up:(5’) Word spiders
 - Teacher instructs Ss how to play the game.
Things to buy on birthday.
 - Ss listen and play the game individually (cakes, candy, candles, ....)
 - Ss draw the networds in their notebooks.

T: elicits some vocabulary by using picture & relia
T: teaches pronunciation.
T: asks Ss to read the text B6- P.26 and answer the questions:
a. How old is Lan?
b. Where does she live?
T: check Ss’ answers
 II- WHILE- WRITING
T: asks Ss to read the text again and do the exercises.
a. 12 years old.
b. 13 years old on my next birthday.
c. at my house.
d. April 12th
e. at 24 Ly Thuong Kiet street
f. from 5p.m to 9 p.m
T: corrects and confirms.

 III- POST- WRITING
T: divides the class in groups of 6 and asks Ss to answer the questions on P. 27. Then asks them to write their answers on a piece of paper. Teacher collects Ss’ papers and marks.

Ss: listen and guess the words’ meaning
Ss: repeat the words after the teacher , then they copy the words.
Ss: read the text in silent and answer the questions.

2. Make questions for these answers
Ss: practice speaking.
-> How old are you?
-> How old will you be on your next birthday?
-> Where will the party be?
-> When is your birthday?
-> Where do you live?
-> What time will the party be?
3. Complete this invitation card to Lan’s party (P.27)
Ss: work individually, complete the invitation card.
Ss: listen to the teacher and take notes.
4. Exercise 3: B7- P.27
Ss: answer the questions. First, they practice speaking then they write the answers on papers.
Consolidation: (6’)- The form of an invitation card
