New lesson: Method Content *Presentation: T: asks Ss to answer the question “What do you usually do after school?” Ss: answer. ( maybe the answers are in Vietnamese) T: sticks the pictures on the board, asks Ss to look at them and answer the teacher’s questions “What are they doing in each picture?” Ss: answer: - They are playing volleyball - They are doing their homework - They are meeting friends T: You will hear a conversation between Minh and Hoa. They are talking about their after school activities. T: plays the tape the first time. Ss: listen (books closed). T: plays the tape the second time. Ss: listen again (books opened). T: asks Ss to look at the dialogue and try to understand it. T: gives them the meaning of the difficult words. T: leads Ss to read. Ss: repeat them after the teacher. T: calls some Ss to read aloud. T: has Ss listen and repeat the dialogue after the tape. Ss: repeat sentence by sentence after the tape. T: introduces the way to make suggestions, invitations. *Practice: T: asks Ss to practice the dialogue in pairs. Ss: work in pairs. T: calls some pairs to read aloud in front of the class. T: corrects their mistakes if any. T: asks Ss to read the dialogue again and answer the questions in their books. a. What is Hoa doing? b. What are Minh and Hoa going to do? c. Where is Ba? d.
