* Pre- reading:
T sticks the picture on the board and asks Ss to look at it then answer the questions:
+ Can you guess what his job is?
- A farmer.
+ What are the daily duties of a farmer?
Ss: answer.
T introduces: “In the last lesson, you learned about the jobs: housewife, mechanic... today we will study about works of a farmer.
* While- reading:
T lets Ss read the passage and compare the works of a farmer which they have just discussed with the content of the lesson.
T explains the meaning of some new words and difficult phrase of words.
T leads Ss to read in chorus.
T calls some Ss to read again.
T has Ss listen to the tape.
T calls some Ss to read the passage aloud.
* Post- reading:
T asks Ss to list the works of Hoa’s father and Tim’s father in groups of four.
Ss works in groups.
T calls some Ss to list the works of Hoa’s father and Tim’s father on the board.
T remarks and corrects the mistakes if necessary.
T guides Ss to translate the passage into Vietnamese.
