Kiến thức: - Học sinh nắm vững các mẫu câu hỏi chỉ đường, phương hướng thông qua các cấu trúc: Could you tell me how to get there ? Could you show me the way to .? và các từ chỉ nơi chốn, phương hướng - Vocabulary: + National bank of Vietnam + A souvenir shop + Saint Paul hospital + Go straight ahead + Hanoi railway station + take a first street - Grammar: Could you tell me how to get there ? Could you show me the way to .? b. Kĩ năng: - Học sinh thực hành kĩ năng nói, chỉ dẫn đường với các cấu trúc học trong bài. c. Thái độ: - Học sinh có thái độ nghiêm túc, biết vận dụng những kiến thức học được vào thực tế và thêm yêu thích môn học. 2. Preparation: a. Teacher: Text book, Cassette,Tape, Pictures, b. Students: Book, pen, revision 3. Procedures: a. Checking the old lesson: (5’) - T guides Ss to play a game: Networks. Prepositions of places - T calls 2 students from 2 groups to go to the board and write down. b. New lesson: T’s activities Content Sts’s activities - T asks Ss to look at the street map carefully - T asks them to call the places in the street map. - T asks Ss to say about the places’ positions. - T introduces the question and answers about the places. - T asks Ss to look at 8 places in the box and the street map. - T asks Ss to work in pairs asking and answering about these places. - T calls some pairs to ask and answer in front of the class. - T corrects the mistakes if necessary. - T asks Ss to look at the street map again. - T explains the aims of the exercise to Ss: Listen to the directions then find out the places. - T plays the tape for Ss ( twice or 3 times ) - T asks them to exchange the results with their partners. - T plays the tape again for Ss to check the results - T corrects the mistake then gives the correct answers. - T gives some places for Ss to practice: - Tasks Ss to give the directions to these places. - T calls on some Ss to give the directions in front of the class. - T corrects the mistake if necessary. Presentation:(25’) Example: Where is the bank ? The bank is between the hotel and the restaurant. It’s opposite the hospital. Practice: S1:Where is the police station ? S2: The police station is between the post office and museum. It’s opposite the stadium. S1: Where is the shoe store ? S2: The shoe store is between the restaurant and the hotel. It’s opposite the supermarket Production:(10’) Make model: Go straight ahead to the third street, tunr right, what is between the movie theatre and the bakery ? It’s toystore. Answer: Souvenir shop Shoe store Hotel Drugstore Hospital Give some places for Ss to practice: Restaurant / museum / book store - Look at the street map carefully. - Call the places in the street map. - Say about the places’ positions. - Listen carefully. - Look at 8 places in the box and the street map. - Work in pairs. - Practice in front of the class S1:Where is the police station ? S2: The police station is between the post office and museum. It’s opposite the stadium. S1: Where is the shoe store ? S2: The shoe store is between the restaurant and the hotel. It’s opposite the supermarket - Look at the street map again. - Listen carefully. - Listen to the tape carefully - xchange the result with the partner. - isten to the tape then check the answer. - write down. - Give the directions to these places. - Give the directions in front of the class. c. Consolidation: (3’) - T summarizes knowledges in period: - T calls on some pairs to practice in front of the class. d.
