I. Objectives:

- Ss will able to talk about their studying and big festivals in American and Vietnam.
- Vocabulary: to last, almost, school year, during.
- Grammar: take time to do, For how many hours a day...?, simple present tense and simple future tense.
- practice dialogue fluently and answer questions about Hoa.
- ask and answer about daily activities.
- futher practice: make a similar dialogue.

A. Warm up
- ask Ss some questions to present new topic:
What time do your classes start?
What time do they finish?
For how many hours a day do you do your homework?
B. Presentation:
- play the tape 1st time and ask Ss to listen to the tape without look at their books.
- ask Ss to pay attention to things which Hoa talks about her work and vocations.
- ask Ss: What can you hear about Hoa?
- ask Ss to look at the book to compare their work.
- play the tape 2nd time and ask Ss to listen carefully.
- give new words and phrases:
