Activity 1: How to read telephone number? - ask Ss to look at part 1 on the page 19, then answer question: “Where is the list of telephone number from?” →”It is from telephone directory” Read telephone number Stop beat after code. Divide telephone number into group of three to easy to read. The number has 2 same number can read following 2 ways (ex: 88 can read “double eight” or eight- eight) - ask Ss to practice aloud the telephone numbers. - ask Ss to practice in pairs the telephone number of 6 people in list on page 20. - explain way to read complex numbers such as: 800,222, 000 2. Activity 2. Listening stage. Set the scene: we will listen to some people’s telephone numbers. While- listening - play the tape twice or three times. - ask Ss listen carefully and do exercise and then compare with partner. - ask some Ss to present their work in front of class. - give answer keys.
