SIMPLE PAST
*(be): I, he, she, it + Was / You, they, we + Were
(can/ could, may/ might, will/ would, shall/ should, must/ have to/ had to)
+QK ñôn cuûa TO BE ôû nghi vaán:
 Was/ Were + S +?
+QK ñôn cuûa TO BE ôû phuû ñònh:
 S+ wasn’t / weren’t
*Ordinary verbs:
+ KÑ: S + V_ed/ V2 (Baát qui taéc)
+ PÑ: S + DID NOT + V.Bare.
+ NV: DID + S + V.Bare?
+ WH: WH + DID + S + V.Bare? It’s + Period + Since + S + last + V2
- Haønh ñoäng xaûy ra trong QK coù xaùc ñònh roõ thôøi gian:
Yesterday: hoâm qua/ Last night: ñeâm qua/ In 1979 < now/ (3 days) ago: caùch ñaây
 VD: He (be, not) there last year.
He was not there last year.
- Thoùi quen, hoaëc haønh ñoäng trong QK:
First, later, then, after that, finally, at last: Luùc ñaàu, sau ñoù, cuoái cuøng....
 VD: When I was a boy, I often played football.
- Haønh ñoäng ñang xaûy ra trong QK, thì moät haønh ñoäng khaùc xaûy ñeán:
 VD: When I was walking in the street yesterday, I met her.
* Irregular verb : là động từ bất qui tắc chúng nằm ở cột thứ 2 trong bảng động từ bất qui tắc. 
Ví dụ : be – was / were
	 Buy – bought
	 Take – took
	 .
** Regular verb : là động từ có quy tắc . khi muốn có động từ ở quá khứ đơn ta thêm “-ED”
. Caùch theâm”ED”: 
- Theâm d neáu ñoäng töø keát thuùc baèng e: 	 likeliked, arrive arrived
- Gaáp ñoâi phuï aâm neáu ñoäng töø moät vaàn keát thuùc baèng moät nguyeân aâm (u,e o, a, i) vaø moät phuï aâm: stop stopped, fit fitted
- Chuyeån y i+ ed neáu ñoäng töø moät vaàn keát thuùc baèng moät phuï aâm +y: study studied, try tried
	- Coøn laïi thì theâm ed: look looked, work worked, enjoyenjoyed
