Các phép so sánh:
So sánh hơn với tính từ:
Đối với tính từ ngắn:
 S1 + be + adj_ER + THAN + S2.
*Lan is taller than Hoa.
Đối với tính từ dài:
 S1 + be + MORE + adj + THAN + S2.
*Lan is more intelligent than Hoa.
2- So sánh hơn nhất với tính từ:
Đối với tính từ ngắn:
 S1 + be + THE + adj_EST + .......
*Lan is the tallest student in my class. 
 b) Đối với tính từ dài:
 S1 + be + THE MOST + adj + .........
*Lan is the most intelligent student in our class.
3- So sánh hơn với danh từ:
........ less + N(không đếm được).....=> ít hơn
.........fewer + Ns (đếm được)...........=> ít hơn
.........more + N(không đếm được).....=> nhiều hơn
........more + Ns (đếm được)..............=> nhiều hơn
*Eg: - I have more cats than Lan.
 - Huy needs less beef than Hai.
 - My younger sister needs fewer books than me.
IV. Các cấu trúc câu hỏi thường gặp:
Cách hỏi tên/ họ/phần đệm và trả lời: What + be +N’s/TTSH + name/family name/middle name? => N’s/TTSH + name/family name/ middle name + be + tên/ họ/ đệm.
Cách hỏi tuổi và trả lời: How old + be + S? => S + be + số tuổi ( + years old).
Cách hỏi nghề nghiệp và trả lời: What + do/does + S + do? => S + be + (a/an) + N_(s).
Cách hỏi ai đó ở đâu và trả lời: Where + do/does + S + live? => S + live(s) + at/ on/ in + nơi ở (Lưu ý:dùng “at” thì sau đó phải có số nhà, dùng “on” thì có tên đường phố, dùng “in” trong các trường hợp còn lại)
Cách hỏi ai đó học khối lớp nào và trả lời: Which/What class/grade + be + S + in? => S + be + in + class/ grade + lớp /khối.
Cách hỏi ai đó đi đâu bằng phương tiện gì và trả lời: How + do/does + S + get/go/travel + to + địa điểm? => S + get(s)/go(es)/travel(s) + to + địa điểm + by + phương tiện đi lại. ( Trừ đi bộ các em có thể dùng “on foot” hoặc “to walk to + địa điểm”)
Cách hỏi khoảng cách giữa hai địa điểm và trả lời: How far is it + from +địa điểm 1 + to + địa điểm 2? => It is + (about) + khoảng cách + meter(s)/ kilometer(s).
Cách hỏi ai đó học môn gì vào thứ mấy và trả lời: When + do/does + S + have + môn học? => S + have/ has + môn học(it) + on + thứ trong tuần...
Cách hỏi ai đó thích môn học nào nhất và trả lời: Which subject + do/does + S + like best? => S + like(s) + môn học thích nhất + best.
Cách hỏi môn học yêu thích của ai là môn gì và trả lời: What + be + TTSH/ N’s + favorite subject? => TTSH/N’s + favorite subject(s) + be + môn học yêu thích.(có thể nhiều môn)
Cách hỏi giờ và trả lời : What is the time? = What time is it? 
Giờ đúng: It is + số giờ + o’clock.
Giờ hơn: It is + số giờ + số phút. Hoặc: It is + số phút + past +số giờ.
Giờ kém: It is + số giờ + số phút. Hoặc: It is + số phút kém + to +số giờ kế tiếp.
Cách hỏi ai đó làm gì vào lúc mấy giờ và trả lời: What time + do/does + S + V.......? 
=> S + V_(s/es) .....+ at + giờ.
 Cách hỏi ai đó nên làm gì và trả lời: What should + S + do? => S + should + V......
Cách hỏi giá tiền: How much + be + S? = How much + do/does + S + cost?
