Procedures: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm – up. - Have students name some food and drinks they know or have learnt. FOOD DRINKS - Answer the questions. What do you usually eat for breakfast / lunch / dinner? What do you often drink after each meal? Pre – listening. - Ask students to look at the picture / p.121 to name the food. a. rice , b. noodles , c. fish , d. vegetables , e. fruits , f. beef , g. juice , h. water. - Have students guess what food and drinks Lan, Ba, Nga and Hoa have for lunch.. While – listening. - Play the tape for students - Have students cross-check their answers. - Ask students to give feedback on the board. - Play the tape for students the third time to check the answers. Lan: b, d, f, g. Ba: c, a, e, h. Nga: a, d, g. Hoa: b, e, g. Post – listening. - Ask questions. What did (Lan) have for lunch? She had beef, noodles, vegetables, and juice. - Have students practice asking and answering about Ba, Nga and Hoa. - Ask students to write sentences about Lan, Ba, Nga and Hoa. 1.
